The price does not include our wedding and engagement rings. All four rings (we both got engagement rings) cost us approximately $1,000 total. I always mention that we had a wedding for slightly under $700.00 to adjust for the fact that I may have missed a few minor items when I created the budget you see here.

p.s. - These items were purchased in 1995 or 1996. Please note that prices may have changed. Since I often get asked where I got my cameras for that price (ummm...Wally's Market), I think it only fair that I mention this fact.

*note 1 - The cake was a gift and this is why it is not listed. Alterations on the dress were a gift and this is why they are not listed.

*note 2 - Food is not listed as we were asked (make that strongly encouraged) by friends and family to have a potluck wedding. We did provide a main dish regardless and the costs were well under $100.00 ($80-$85 if memory is correct) total. This too became a gift when a friend wanted to cover "our food costs" because the whole point was that we were "not supposed to pay for the food with a potluck". We insisted on covering at least half, but could not convince our friend to let us cover the full cost. As a result, we insisted on getting the miscellaneous stuff (tablecloths, napkins, silverware, plates, cups, toasting glasses, cake server, etc) instead.

*note 3 - The flower costs are included in the total costs for various craft projects already listed (for example: the cost of flowers for the centerpieces is included in the centerpieces section).
