About Me

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about little ol’ me. My name is Lula, I’m a lady in my 30’s who has learned from the school of hard knocks how to sort out my money situation. It started with a simple concept when I was at the height of stress and debt, lost in the red in my bank account and not sure where to even start. When you reach those depths, you can get overwhelmed, and your life becomes all about the money. It can eat at you and kill your spirits.

I was given that simple concept at that time. One day a week, focus only on finances. The rest of the week, just do what you can. This idea got me out of a horrible point in my life, as it gave me a structure to work on. One day a week is doable no matter the schedule. One day a week can make a world of difference. For me, that day was Wednesday. I still maintain it as a day I consider my finances and work on improving my finances.

Of course, that’s not all I do. I’m a mother, I work part-time in the food sector, and I support a group of friends with many goals and aims. In my spare time, I love cooking and DIY, in part to help save money but also in part because I love getting hands-on with my hobbies.

My aim is to post financial advice that has helped me, and the lessons I’ve learned. I may also share some other content about things I’ve learned in my life along the way, I hope you’ll join the journey I am still going down together with me, and that we can all get to a better place by the end of it.
